Both soft and subtle, this fabric has it all. The weft is indigo handspun cotton and the warp stripes are all local natural dyes. The traditional northern Thai skirt design has hem stripes but in this piece, a balanced weave, you can use its grain in any direction you please. We like to upend the darks and lights of this fabric creating a checker board effect for our bodice jacket and then turn again for the sleeves. It’s so much fun!
